Volakas is a honed marble tile in 12x24. It suits floors, walls and backsplashes; as natural marble it should be sealed at installation.
Questions about Volakas
How much does one piece of Volakas cover?
Each piece of Volakas covers 2 sq ft. The calculator above turns your square footage into whole pieces and adds 15% for cuts.
Can I use Volakas on a floor?
Yes. Volakas is rated for floors.
Does Volakas need sealing?
Yes. Volakas is natural marble: seal it with a penetrating sealer at installation and again when water stops beading on the surface. Sealer slows stains; it does not stop etching from acids such as lemon juice or vinegar, so wipe spills promptly.
Will Volakas look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not identical: natural marble varies in veining and tone from piece to piece. Order a sample first, buy everything you need at once so it comes from one batch, and blend pieces from several boxes as you install.
What is the minimum order for Volakas, and how does it ship?
The minimum is 29 pieces (58 sq ft). Each piece weighs about 10 lb, so 15 or more pieces ship by freight on a pallet (curbside, with a liftgate, by appointment); smaller orders ship by parcel. Shipping is priced at checkout from the weight and your ZIP code.
Can I get a sample of Volakas first?
Yes. Choose Sample above: one tile for $4.99 plus shipping. When you order the tile (orders over $300), we credit the $4.99 back.
