About Seagrass
Seagrass is a honed limestone tile in 12x24. It suits floors, walls and backsplashes; as natural limestone it should be sealed at installation.
Questions about Seagrass
How much does one piece of Seagrass cover?
Each piece of Seagrass covers 2 sq ft. The calculator above turns your square footage into whole pieces and adds 15% for cuts.
Can I use Seagrass on a floor?
Yes. Seagrass is rated for floors.
Does Seagrass need sealing?
Yes. Seagrass is natural limestone: seal it with a penetrating sealer at installation and again when water stops beading on the surface. Sealer slows stains; it does not stop etching from acids such as lemon juice or vinegar, so wipe spills promptly.
Will Seagrass look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not identical: natural limestone varies in veining and tone from piece to piece. Order a sample first, buy everything you need at once so it comes from one batch, and blend pieces from several boxes as you install.
What is the minimum order for Seagrass, and how does it ship?
The minimum is 22 pieces (44 sq ft). Each piece weighs about 14 lb, so 11 or more pieces ship by freight on a pallet (curbside, with a liftgate, by appointment); smaller orders ship by parcel. Shipping is priced at checkout from the weight and your ZIP code.
Can I get a sample of Seagrass first?
Yes. Choose Sample above: one tile for $4.99 plus shipping. When you order the tile (orders over $300), we credit the $4.99 back.
