Questions about Desert Gold Dressed
How much does one piece of Desert Gold Dressed cover?
Each piece of Desert Gold Dressed covers 1 sq ft. The calculator above turns your square footage into whole pieces and adds 15% for cuts.
Can I use Desert Gold Dressed on a floor?
No. Desert Gold Dressed is not rated for floors: not listed for floors. Use it on walls and backsplash.
Does Desert Gold Dressed need sealing?
Yes. Desert Gold Dressed is natural quartzite: seal it with a penetrating sealer at installation and again when water stops beading on the surface.
Will Desert Gold Dressed look exactly like the photo?
Close, but not identical: natural quartzite varies in veining and tone from piece to piece. Order a sample first, buy everything you need at once so it comes from one batch, and blend pieces from several boxes as you install.
What is the minimum order for Desert Gold Dressed, and how does it ship?
The minimum is 21 pieces (21 sq ft). Each piece weighs about 15 lb, so 11 or more pieces ship by freight on a pallet (curbside, with a liftgate, by appointment); smaller orders ship by parcel. Shipping is priced at checkout from the weight and your ZIP code.
Can I get a sample of Desert Gold Dressed first?
Yes. Choose Sample above: one plank for $4.99 plus shipping. When you order the tile (orders over $300), we credit the $4.99 back.
